This week in Michigan
the fathers day weekend special in Michigan can bore you to tears. TNT covers what I like to call a "summer snoozefest" with Pocono, Michigan, Kentucky, New Hampshire, then ESPN takes over the rest of the summer snoozing with another Michigan and Pocono race, and unfortunatly, Indianapolis fits that bill. The only excitement to look forward to could be in Sonoma in a couple of weeks.
But for now, it's time to try to score some points in Michigan!!
Roush has had a long time trend of runnign well here... won one last year, Penske took the other... but Hendrick tends to pose a challenge. And I don't know as that a Gibbs car ahs ever won here... I'm sure Hamlin or Busch one has done it at some point though.
Major teams iwth a ton of horsepower and an ability to handle a long sweeping turn is what you neeed to finish well here.
So with that in mind, I'm going to stick by my all FoMoCo rule and go with....
1) Greg Biffle
2) Joey Logano
3) Carl Edwards

Junior dominates here. But something often goes wrong. I think its because I'm usually in the grandstands. My presence has been known to bring Jr bad luck. That's probably not going to happen this race. It is highly unlikely... but not impossible. I can't remember how many MIS races I've been to now, but it's a lot. Most of them in the last 6 or 7 years, but I managed to not be there for Jr's wins in '08 and '12 and Mark Martin's win in '09. And I never have advanced plans to attend the race - I just end up with free tickets a lot. They always show a few days before the race and i can't refuse. It'll be hard to get free tickets at work when I have the week off from work.
Anyways, I agree Penske dominates here too. Last year I got to meet Joey Logano in the SKF Hospitality suite right before the race. Then he went on to win! So I don't bring bad luck to everybody.
I'll need to see qualifying to firm up my picks this time
1. Dale Jr
2. Brad K
3. Joey Logano
