I think Darien Grubb is proving me right - he was the force behind that championship, not Pony. I knew Hammy would be hard to beat this year and I better start rallying behind him!

The more I think of it, the more I'm sure it is EGR that will be switching to Dodge. There isn't another team that simply needs the technical support more. That team is screwed. I don't know why RCR is so much better, but whatever the 2 teams have between them is not working for EGR at all.

Gonna be hard to ignore those Busch boys at Vegas. Kurt's not exactly raising pulses with his new ride tho...

I'll hold off till Friday practice to throw my picks in like I did last week. I'll probably do that most weeks unless it's a track I'm comfortable picking on before all that (such as Talladega or Atlanta or Daytona).

I don't get comfortable picking until about Texas. At that point, we know what everyone has at different tracks, we know who has momentum, and at that point, I start putting up some picks before the practice session rolls around.

I'm seeing some things I like in practice. Qualifying is tonight. Qualifying is becoming very importatn for those pit box selections. If I see some stuff I like again in qualifying, I'll make some picks with confidence.

I gave a my first test that was actually made by me to my classes today, and at the same time caught my first cheater in 4th period. I've got a spare test that the department used before us. I thought it was crap and myself and another student teacher re-wrote it... .or I may give this student a 4 essay test to take. I don't think I'm counting this test.

Qualifying is in. I was watching the Ford's and Toyotas. The Ford's were strong, but those 'Yotas brought their game in qualifying.

I was also surprised by Chevrolet!!! Jeff Gordon could have had the poll had he not been so early on from a bad practice run. Kahne was quick, Johnson was about to get it except just a little too loose off of Turn 4 on the lap.

Well now.... I was skeptical of Chevrolet and hendrick, but Hendrick refuses to fall behind... for long anywho. Stewart was quick as well, and Stewart still feels this track owes him one.

For now....

1) Greg Biffle
2) Greg Biffle
3) Tony Stewart

Edited those picks... was a pair of Pyle Busch's and a Jeff Gordon.
