After looking over things a bit, I see no reason to change my picks. Figure my brother and I will find a place to sit down and watch part of the race.

 

I have made a revision to my picks.... hesitantly, however.


Brent, I'm joining your side... I swapped Greg Biffle for Mark Martin!!!


He was solid in practice, solid in qualifying, solid in all his races this year, coming off a good run in Texas, and I think Martin will have a great run today!

 

changed my picks just a little bit. think its a better choice.

 

Aaarrr... that was my ace in the hole! Nobody ever picks Martin, so I can pick up goods points with him.

Ultimately, this will likely be a fuel mileage race. As long as Martin doesn't over pit the car he might win. Historically he does over pit, but this team might not. Junior has been bad for over pitting this year...

 

Thats How I felt about Biffel now everyone picks him.

Look at AJ running away! I hated to leave him out of my picks cause I really think those Dodges are going to have a great day. But damn they've been unreliable and I just can't put any stake in them. That the differnce between how I pick when I'm the points leader and how I pick when I'm 50 points back...

 

Now look at A.J. falling back!!!

That's the mistake I made at Bristol... picking AJ. Actually, the mistake was taking a dodge. This is about the time in the season where I wonder how much of the Dodge support Penske was expecting to come as the season went on will actually be there.


When we had our advice and rules for picking at the beginning of the year, we should haev added this


11) Don't pick Peblo (Brents addition

12) Don't pick a Dodge. Won't be there for you when it matters most. Kind of like in real life.

 

thank goodness i have to pick up my dogs at the airport. Picking dogs seems to be my forte lately. Watching the 14 sucking two weeks in a row is killing me. Have fun with the race.

 

Yeah... I guess I "Dodged" a bullet there!
