That bad day for Brent (JuniorCar) and Mike (03JGMonte) have opened Carl's point lead back up to a comfortable margin with 5 races to go. It was getting kind of hairy for him for some time there, getting down to as narrow as 14 points. But he is back out to a comfortable 58 point lead now.

Mike, when brent took Regan Smith, who finished 38th, that did him in. Although you didn't get many points, no one behind you was close enough to strike, and his bad day moved you to 2nd. However, all any of it did was give Carl a comfortable margin where you would have to gain 12 points a race to beat him for this championship.
Chris' last win was Kansas this year.... congrats on that one, buddy!
but just to throw in a plug for myself and be the "Debbie Downer" of the evening... I love it when people who have won a race this year talk about how long their "dry spell" is....
