Yeah, in my Fred Lorenzen post I talked about that. Eveyrone was on time anyway I believe. I was at a car show at this little restaurant in Henderson... had a nice Monte Carlo out there!!! I'll see if I can get up some pictures... that and a Corvette both done really nice and original. Both of them were frame off restorations with well over $50,000 invested in each. But I was inside eating when they drew 50/50 and gas cards.... they decided to end it an hour early since it is (apparently) cold and not a big turn out...

 

I'm not even sure if I'll be able to stay up for the whole race. It's drill weekend and I've been up since 5 this morning. At least Oklahoma beat Texas today, even if I didn't get to watch it.

 

Quit whining Sarge, I was up at 4...But I don't have drills.

Hey Brent.... my car has a treasured place right there with all my other classic race cars....






Here are some of my favorite pictures from my recent cruise ins.... 454 Corvette, restored to all original condition, 1971 model.... guy who owned it wanted to buy one in 1971 but couldn't afford it, got this one in 1986 and restored it a few years back to as close to original as he could get it... I guessed he had $50,000 in it and he said that's what he hoped for for but ended up spending a lot more.

The other one is a Monte Carlo... restored very well too. Guy is going to the Super Chevy Show in Rockingham next week, he says.
