Default Picks/Charlotte/Sat Night

A revision was made due to human error and I have now revised the stats thread to show STUMPMI Dave is the correct winner of Dover! He shut Drew out of a weekend sweep, but SupplySgt Drew became the first person not from St. Louis to hold the points lead in quite some time now. After I accrued 101 points in both New Hampshire and Dover, I am the Segment 4 leader by 11 points.

Reminder to all members: PLEASE CHECK YOUR POINTS TALLY AFTER EACH RACE! MAKE SURE YOU GOT WHAT IS OWED TO YOU! I am human and make errors, and have been caught a few times. I tally up 14 different people 40 times a year and only make a few errors, so I guess my percentage is really less than 1% off. Not too bad, but you don't want to be part of the 1%!

We head off to Charlotte now. This is one of my 4 home tracks, as I live roughly equal distances from Richmond, Martinsville, Charlotte, and Darlington. I've also driven on this track 4 times!

Only 7 races to go and it's the off season!

I'm going to defend my points lead with the following crew:

1) Brad Keselowski
2) Joey Logano
3) Aric Almirola

I made a mistake during the 2 races I calculated, so I know its not hard to do. It's always worth double checking!

1. Dale Jr.
2. Brad K
3. Joey Logano

I'm thinking of editing Jimmie in, even tho he so failed me last week. I think they'll close the season with a vengeance now....

Sort of kicking a dead horse here, but NASCAR has decided to further penalize the #78 team. They acknowledge this is a P2 penalty and crew chief Cole Pearn is put on probation. But they are not assessing the point penalty usually associated with such an infraction because that would kick Truex out of the Chase and let McMurray in. This ruling is inconsistent at the very least.

NASCAR probation is sort of a joke anyway. I wouldn't worry about it.

Rules test at Michigan in a couple weeks. Gibbs is sending Hamlin, Hendrick is sending Elliott, and the Red Sox are sending Chris Buescher. I wonder if it's a sign of Buescher coming to cup?
