NASCAR is going into a new season, with new faces, and flamillar faces in new places, and if 2024 had anything to do with anything NASCAR is gonna rock next year, teams are expanding with the SHR closure, such as RFK Racing's new 60 team being driven by Ryan Preece, 23XI will have a new 35 car being driven by Riley Herpst, TrackHouse is bringing the 88 back to NASCAR with Shane Van Gisbergen, and Front Row is PROBABLLY going to 3 cars, the whole law suit makes it hard to judge that. The New Schedule includes Mexico City as a new stop for the Cup Series, and the Xfinity and Truck Series are going to Rockingham! and for those who havent seen the last few years we race in the damn streets of Chicago, North Wilkesboro, Gateway and Iowa are now in the Cup Series, as well as Bowman Gray, THE MADHOUSE HAS A NASCAR DATE!! Oh and over the off season theres a chance, not the biggest but a chance of playoff reforms. So do you still watch NASCAR, cause next year is gonna be something to see,
I used to watch it all the time and recorded the ones I would miss. I have been to a few of the tracks for races too. But I think the format of what they do now has kept me from following the stuff. I usually watch Daytona and Dega.
I recall getting Tickets to the AZ race for a fathers day gift. My son lived there and we went, he had some extra tickets for the Bud tent and Kane was supposed to be there and mingle and sign some stuff. That was a joke, he came in waved and said he need get ready to Qualify. he was Gone! he didn't show up on the track for 2.5 hours.
I took him off the list of drivers to watch. Oh and MW wrecked that race on the front stretch, glad he is off the track now.
I have stopped watching Nascar a long time ago. Nascar died with Dale in 2001, the rule changes, geared to hand championships to a particulate driver, the cars of today. My first track visit was the 1998 Daytona 500 couldn't get better than that. Then went to Dega quite a lot. Nascar for me only takes place now in my garden on a 1/24 scale slottrack and watching vintage races.

There was just something different about Nascar pre-Gen 5 cars (pre-2007). I've been slowly losing interest in the past 8 or so years and especially more recently after Kevin Harvick retired. I was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan starting back in the early 1990s as a young kid and when he passed away in 2001, I cheered on Harvick and quickly became a fan of his which continued to his retirement after the 2023 season. I've had a hard time finding a new driver to cheer for but have kind of found myself cheering for Front Row Motorsports and Spire Motorsports because I've just become tired of seeing the same 10 drivers win races. I'd say my top three guys have become #21 Josh Berry, #4 Noah Gragson and #77 Carson Hocevar. I really hope Harvick's son, Keelan, keeps at it and moves up the ranks. I follow Keelan now and would definitely like to see him do well if he makes it up to trucks, Xfinity and even all the way up to Cup Series... we'll see.
Supercars champion Will Brown to run Chicago NASCAR Cup race with Kaulig
Will Brown, 26, is the defending champion of the Australian Supercars Series. He has eleven career wins and finished third in last year's Bathurst 1000. In addition to his impressive Supercars career, Brown is also a two-time class winner of the Bathurst 12 Hours.
He already made his Cup debut last year, driving for Richard Childress Racing at Sonoma. He started 24th and finished 31st. Brown will return for the Chicago Street Course race, driving a third entry as a teammate to AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon, piloting the No. 13 Chevrolet. MobileX will back the effort and serve as the primary sponsor, as they did in his start with RCR.
