So you know b-4 U make your picks 4 the Race : )
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - NASCAR has reduced the size of the restrictor plate in an attempt to cut speeds before the season-opening Daytona 500.
The move announced Wednesday is one of many NASCAR has made since last weekend's exhibition Budweiser Shootout saw speeds top 206 mph at one point.
The reduction of the restrictor plate is 1/64-inch and could cut about 10 horsepower from the engines.
Horsepower-sapping restrictor plates are used at Daytona and Talladega, the biggest and fastest tracks in NASCAR. The plates limit an engine's power by reducing the amount of air that flows
into the carburetor.

Along with that and the cooling system change, they're going to make Daytona another ride around in circles in a line race I think. I thought the Bud Shootout was great and lets keep going like that!
Thanks `Duane for your update...I did not know about the cooling system change...I sure hope that it does not create a follow the leader type of Race....
I only have access to Broadcast races & the Daytona is one of the few races that are on FOX...
The Bums & I are planning on getting 2gether to watch the Race, but lately it's getting more difficult to get 2gether due to other commitments (Work/Senior Needs/etc)
I still have no idea who to pick ? ? I will just have to post my guesses b-4 the start of the Race...
Peace/Out
