Keep in mind this is before any practice numbers I reserve the right to bail on this post after I see some numbers.

1.Tony Stewart
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Kyle Busch

Last: John Andretti

1st Caution: Sam Hornish

# of Cautions: 9

Unfortunatly I think Jimmie has it wrapped up (not that I think he's a bad guy just want some excitement at the end of the year), unless he's hurt in a bad accident and can't compete in one or more of the three races (and I don't want to see anyone hurt). Can't see that team having bad luck often enough for anyone else to make it interesting with so few races remaining.

(((Yay Dale Senior =D)))

okay hmm my picks
1. Carl Edwards
2. Jimmie Johnson
3. Tony Stewart

Last: no idea! lol hopefully Kyle Busch =p

Cautions: 8 and dont know who will cause the first, probably another Toyota driver lol

I honestly think Jimmie has got it unless something happens. I really like Jimmie but I wouldn't have minded seeing Tony or Mark win this year =] and i gotta say Jimmie's team has most def got this down bcuz if you think about it they aren't really a huge highlight in the beginning of the win when it comes to winning races but once the race to the cup comes around it's like that team wakes up or something. IDK! but its crazy! and hella impressive.

..Thanks Brian & Brittany for posting your picks early
You have the right 2 revise : ) B-4 the start of the Race of Sunday
Waiting 2 see what (JrCar) `Brent posts
I still would like to see `Mark Martin win a chanpionship, but J.J. has proven to be the one to beat.

Congrat's 2 Kyle for his win in Truck series. He is not one of my favorite drivers, but the kid is blessed with racing talent. Instead of a engine transplant, he should get a personality transplant lol

I hope that I am able to watch/listen to the race on Sunday, but life has a way of gett'in in the way Zometimes : )

OK, I'm here. I'm all goofed out on meds cause I've come down with a serious flu. I've kept myself quarantined to my bedroom and force the wife to sleep on the couch. I fear for my 1year old babies life as this H1N1 flu pandemic has been dropping people like flies in London. When I say dropping, I mean dead. Last week a 2 month old died in a day.

Still, I will watch the race and render my picks.

The math sez that Jimmie need only average a 10th place finish in the remaining 3 races and the championship is locked up. That would be assuming Martin wins the next 3 races and leads the most laps. We know that ain't going to happen, and Jimmie will pull off a 10th place average easy. I don't expect to see Jimmie going for the win today though. As for the rest of the field - sorry 'Space - I can't think. My brain is fried and I'm getting dizzy. No more philosophy today

1. Mark Martin (of course!)
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Kasey Kahne

# of cautions = 4
causing the first caution: Paul Menard
last place: Joe Nemechek

Its a cookie cutter track. Its not like to be an exciting race - usually the field opens right up and the fastest car will win. Qualifying is a reasonable depiction of the race results

Sibling rivalry

Kyle Busch led the most laps and was on the verge of history, but his brother Kurt played the fuel game better and won at Texas for the first time in his career.

Poor Jr. If he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all. He was so close to a good finish. How many times has this ... arg!

The dream is still alive for Martin! Still a long shot, but Jimmie can not average 10th in the final 3 now. Still a big points gap to close in 2 races, but next week will be all about Martin. He dominated Phoenix in the spring with the same car he'll be using.

I can't see how Kurt Busch could have saved enough fuel to win that. I don't believe the car was legal and I never will believe. He should have been six laps short, but he saved enough, and still had enough fuel to do a burnout, an "unwind" lap (that's what he calls it), and still drove it to victory lane?!? Not when so many cars ran out at the end. The fix was in, but at least Kyle didn't get it. We can all celebrate that! Kurt is such a **** and a terrible beer spokesperson. At least his beer was open this time (in victory lane) but I'm almost certain it was empty. He is not a beer drinker. He should trade sponsors with Tony Stewart. That guy looks like a beer drinker

Agree Space, Kyle Busch isn't much in the personality department. At one time you could say "Well, he's a kid, he'll grow-up and into it." Well he's not a kid anymore and it's time for him to man up. But I will admit that man can flat drive a race car! When he's not moaning and crying that is!

On the plus side I did get Sam Hornish bringing out the first caution right! Or do I only get 1/2 credit since JJ was also involved, or worse yet 1/3 since Rutie helped???
