Well it looks like Kevin Harvick has just started racing this season. A little late, but he's definitely a bonafide threat now. What a bad year for Childress in general though. Everybody's picking Martin - could that be because he's going to win the race? Either way, the night ends with his taking the points lead. Kyle Busch starts the race directly behind Vickers. All eyes should be on this battle. Can Kyle Busch be that ambitious and will Nascar let him get away with it? Watch what a little ***** he is next week when he is on the outside looking in. I've been saying for weeks the Jr. is hot, but what the hell was with him fading late in the race at Atlanta. That's way too familiar.

This is exciting!!! Richmond rocks and is totally on my radar as one of the next tracks I would like to see. This race means a lot and I am ready to rumble!

My picks:
1 Mark Martin
2 Brian Vickers
3 Carl Edwards

1st wreck
Casey Mears

so it is kyle busch misses it by 8 points, brian vickers is in, denny hamlin posts the win in his home state, atlanta! more to follow from the other nascar followers! i haven't really been into racing lately for some reason, it just doesn't do anything when RCR and DEI are not in the points race!

Hamlin gets his win, Vickers gets in Chase

Virginia native Denny Hamlin finally won at Richmond, where he had come so agonizingly close before. Brian Vickers finished seventh and clinched the final Chase spot. Kyle Busch fell eight points shy and Matt Kenseth dropped out to miss the cutoff for the first time.
