Glad the weather and racing was good for you! Junior didn't win, but he didn't disappoint too bad I don't think. I know what you mean about not sleeping - I couldn't and I wasn't even going this year! But its a good thing you couldn't either. Can't wait to see some of the video.

 

EVeryone says there is just something special about Daytona and the atmosphere there. I've been on the little track tour and chills run down your spin being there. Must be really cool to actually watch a race there!

 

Glad you had fun. Now a couple tips for your next trip. If you are sitting on the backstretch, park over there. There is ahuge lot and we were in and out last time i went. Also if you plan to sit on the front. Do a park and ride. Very easy that way. If you dont mind the walk, park at the mall. One other thing, never come in from the interstate. Get off interstate early and come in from the beach side. Always light traffic.

Pretty cool videos!! Thanks for sharing them. I looked at a few, have to come back and check out the rest later. There just isn't anything like that first lap when the whole field roars by you at a race though..... can't imagine what it's like at Daytona when that happens.

 

That's so awesome! Isn't the 500 amazing? There's just something about the atmosphere there that's like nothing else, not even Talladega compares.

I went in 2006 and I met Jeff Gordon for the second time! THAT was amazing.
