Why do we always leave the Nationwide races out? In previous years there has only been a handful of competative teams in this series and its always the Sprint Cup guys. But NASCAR's rule change last year has started pushing some of the Sprint guys out. Some drivers have realized the need to focus and won't being running Nationwide at all this year. I think Carl will still run a few, but he's sitting out the biggest ones of the year: The Drive4COPD 300. None the less, there is a slew of big dogs in this one: Dale Jr, trevor Bayne, Tony Stewart, Kurt & Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski to name some. Some good pickins in there!

And looky who got the pole!!! Danica Patrick just grabbed her career first stock car pole. And don't tell me its all car cause Jr. Motorsports has never been a dominant force in Nationwide. BradK didn't really flourish until he left the team. JR Motorsports only has a handful of poles ever. Anyways, obviously she wasn't too rattled by the big wreck in the Duel yesterday.

And Jr himself is in this one! He has been very dominant on these Superspeedway in the Nationwide races he chooses to run. Some great backup for Danica too. I can't help but be exciting about watching these 2 work as a team.

I am excited for this race tommorrow. So eve if no one else wants to, I'm making picks. Maybe I'll get another free MCF trophy out of it like last years Indy 500

I just posted an update to our sponsorship help plea, we qualified 33rd for tomorrow's race! Thanks for helping to bring awareness to the Nationwide race and I hope everyone on the forum tunes in to ESPN for the race.

Race Lineup | NASCAR Nationwide Series

 

I'm going to have to make a rules crackdown on Brent. Not illegal as in explicitly stated in the rules yet, but I'll pull a Brian France/Mike Helton/Robin Pemberton and make it illegal. This is the MCF NASCAR Fantasy league, and it is implied in with all the other races that this is a Sprint Cup series fantasy game. This isn't Indy, Nationwide, Trucks, Home Tracks, or some random asshats in a pack of go carts on Friday night fantasy league.

 

I was excited about the race when Danica won the pole so I wanted to start talking about it. And I'm glad I did cuz I found out that a member of this board is on a race team that will be in the race! I think that is super cool. I know there has been a lot of jockeying for positions out there but Benny Gordon has been getting no camera time!

 

Its not really me who schedules these races y'know! Anyone is welcome to start a thread and make their picks about any kinda racing they want. I may not always be interested, as obviously there wasn't a whole lot of interest in this one.

We'll keep it loose Duane. Nobody's been eliminated yet. Mak yourpicks now and we'll call them valid. As long asthat okay with 02 Earnhardt Monte Carlo SS

 

Cole Whitt double bumps Danica going into turn 1 and brings out the first real caution when she spins. That sucked.
