Classic NASCAR Photo of the Day
Its to bad some of you guys cant come here to michigan....At flat rock speedway in flatrock..and still run the oldies! its pretty cool to watchm run!
Duane I like the garage and pit shot's best. I love to look in the background of every pic to see what else is noticeable. I would like to see some of the early GM stuff, buick and olds or maybe even Cadillac.
I've got a few more FoMoCo and winged car shots first.....
Today's photo of the day: Bobby Allison in the pits at Dover, 1970. The car is the 1969 Charger Daytona. this is apparently back when you could be on a pit crew and wear your pajamas to work.

I didn't get on to post a photo for yesterday... so I'll post one this morning and try to give you another one this evening sometime.
This is probably the cleanest shot I have ever seen of David Pearson's '69 Torino from the era. It is probably a Don Hunter photo now owned by Smyle Media. I'm not sure of the track or why ti was on pit road at the time.

That is pretty good photo quality for the day!
It is kinda fun watching those old races on ESPN Classic. They didn't seem so old when I watched 'em live! The audio & video quality is terrible and the editing can barely be called that. TV coverage has really come a long way. And its funny to see now, but the pitstops were like 30 seconds long - it seems like forever when you watch

Especially with Chris Economaki, and I think it was Jackie stewarts Commentarys! Definatly far different from todays commentary before during and after the race....
