Classic NASCAR Photo of the Day. Back to my beloved Torinos today.
This is Bill France, Sr. walking down the line before the start of the 1968 World 600 at Charlotte. This was the same race they ended up using helicopters to dry the track for.
Anybody think that Brian France ever walks down pit road like this before a race?
Probably a Don Hunter Photo owned by Smyle Media.

Nope I dont think he will....ever!
Bill France was i believe involved personally with EV1!
I think Brian France is more into his position...rather than personal involvement... with teams...drivers...etc...

Classic NASCAR Photo of the Day: Someone scanned this signed photograph of they Ray Fox owned 1968 Dodge Charger with Fox in the picture posing with his car.
Fox is about 95 years old today. He has a Facebook page, I don't know if he is the one who posts on it not. Whoever runs it, Fox or not, very rarely posts anything. Usually they just post a little notice that someone in racing has passed on and pass on their thoughts and prayers to the family.

Did you happen to notice the shackle extensions on the rear springs?
Boy do I miss those early body styles! Thats when cars looked like cars!
Now im wondering...Is that the "Parts truck" or the hauler? Or is it both?
Is he wearing some raceing shoes? Or his shop boots? lol
Thanks Duane for giveing me my NASCAR fix for the day!

The rear shackles might be a Dodge thing... at least, they aren't as prominent on a Ford.
that is what you would call the "box truck." You would put a trailer on the back of that and haul the car. Some teams used a "ramp truck" that I will possibly post a picture of later....
