Alright... about 5-6 more pictures on this group that I have uploaded right now. I am about to set up the next 15-25 days or so. Anyone have any requests? So far, I have several early-mid 60's garage and ahuler shots, a few shots of the early templates used in NASCAR, a couple of mid 60's Chevrolets, a fwe pictures of Dale Earnhardt in the yellow and blue Monte Carlo days, a couple more Torino shots (you know I can't resist those), some late 70's and early 80's Petty stuff, and you don't even want ot know how many shots I have of Torino's at Daytona. I do have a few pictures from the Daytona beach days, a few 50's shots, and a couple of really cool photos from Daytona in the 1980's in my computer that are ready to be uploaded!!!

Oh, and I plan to tell the story of how the Monte Carlo came back to NASCAR in 1972.....

I always liked that movie about him. Seen it several times but can't remember the name of it.

They were hard on African American in the day. There must have been a rule against focusing the camera on him.

The movie was Greased Lightning with Richard Pryor, a very funny man

I was thinking white lightning but knew that wasn't it.
Come On Wendel, that other guy kept saying. My uncle is also named Windel and always remembered that.

Classic NASCAR Photo of the Day: Wendell Scott sitting on the pit wall at Dover after the race in 1971. That is his baby blue car sitting across the way.

Darrell Wallace Jr in the Nationwide series is the only name that really comes to mind. Wil ly T Ribbs (the board censorship apparently doens't like his name... how racist) tried to run in teh 80s and 90s... he infamously missed a race one time because he had an extended stay at what he called the the "Cross Bars Inn" (jail) for a DUI.

Happy New Year!!! Classic NASCAR Photo of the Day: Bobby Allison in Mario Rossi's 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona getting tires and fuel in the 1970 Daytona 500. Cecil Gordon passed on in the later half of last year, and that is his 1969 Torino passing by in the background.

Ive never been what ya might call a "Mopar" fan...However, The Super Bird always caught my interest....
I was always curious though...The cars a charger...Yet they called it a Super Bird?

Shouldnt that have been reserved for the road runners? Never could figure that one out!

Great Pick Duane! Oh the Good Ole Days of Racing! And what they had to go thru...Not to mention all the Non Safety like they have today...and the wide open space of the Pits and what they had to contend with!
