I live about 10 miles from the track.....What a mess.....They even let school out on Friday for the night Busch race (can't get used to saying Nationwide Series) total gridlock for about 3 to 4 hours after the Cup races.....good time to tailgate or sober up....ha, ha, ha

Bristol is on my list of tracks I have not been at yet but Idefinitely plan on getting there eventually, probably not this season though. Being only 10 miles away you must be able to hear 'emat your house. The last house I owned was about 8 miles from a 1/2 mile asphalt track where they run the Nascar Modified Series cars. It was a sweet sound on Friday nights!!! When I go to the night races at Lowes we get there at about 11am and T-gate the whole day in the parking area across the highway from the track. You have to allow plenty of time to "get ready" for the race. LOL!!!

yeah, I always liked Lowes Motor Speedway, I went from 88 to 98, didn't miss a race....always camped for several days....also went to North Wilkesboro....hated when they closed it and moved the dates....went to the Winston Cup Preview in Winston Salem several times, belonged to the Winston Winners Club (poor man's hospitality club). They always had a party the night before with a couple of drivers, always Travis Carter and the Camel Race Car Driver....good times, hated to see all that end.....

When are they going there?

I love watching the races casue it is a .5M track and lots of close racing and fender benders.
