I was always just a little bit behind. This was fun for sure.
So now the SupplySgt has to get the invitations out for the Banquet and I an not certain what the purse is for the winner but it should be good for a few Monte Upgrades? no?

I know what you mean it's still kind of fun though.
I find that I miss viewing the races.
When you look at the view of the stands the audience just isn't there anymore.
I have read several articles about Nascar fans and they just got tired of getting beat up on the Tickets, Hotels, and food. I recall in 99 I went to Texas Motor Speedway, I paid $6.00 for a Coke in a bottle you can get a C-store of under $2.00 and a Hot Dog was 4.00 and it was the size of my little finger on a bun.
So maybe it just trickles down.

Lets blame it on Brian France! lol

The interesting thing is all professional sports are having issues with attendance and TV ratings. Out of the NFL, the Patriots and the Packers are the only franchises to sell out on a regular basis. So this isn't unique to NASCAR. NFL ratings have been down over last year, even after the election was over (which was their excuse). I think it's a byproduct of younger people not wanting to sit and focus on the same thing for three hours. They'd rather get the highlights and move on to the next thing.
I'm hopefully that next season I'll have a little more stability with regards to my schedule and will actually get to watch more than 3 races next year.
