September 2013 Nominations
There have been ties in:
November 2005
May 2009
September 2009
December 2010
November 2012
Now Lisa, you were one of the people who made it into the 2011 calendar done by an outside source without my input.
The 2011 calendar is an extremely sore spot with me. Since it involved threatened legal action against me. I stood up for the 2010 MOTM winners, and insisted on doing a 2011 MCF calendar despite the fact that an outside company was doing a 2011 Monte calendar. It wasn't until I was personally threatened with legal action that I was forced to back down on my own plans for an MCF calendar, and support the other 2011 calendar.
Since the 2011 calendar thing, I've tried to use some of the 2010 winners to fill empty spots in the 2012 and 2013 calendar.
On the issue of ties, and a calendar appearance... No one has ever had to share the same calendar page in any of the MCF calendars. Everyone who appeared in an MCF calendar got an entire calendar page to their own.
Now the 2013 calendar.
There was one member who had a valid complaint about not having his car in the 2013 calendar. He PM'ed me a link to his picture the first day I asked for pictures. And I completely forgot that he PM'ed me a link instead of emailing me. I admitted my mistake, and have publicly and privately apologized to him. By the time the mistake was brought to my attention, moderator RJ had already had the calendars printed. Paid for out of his own pocket, I should add. The owners of the forum don't pay or re-imburse RJ or myself for making the calendars. It's all out of RJ's own money. And none of the moderators, Admin Mike, or myself get paid to be here either. Peope who complained about the quality of the MCF calendars need to remember that.
As for re-arranging the order of the winners in the 2013 calendar. I did that because there were a large number of black Montes that won last year. It would've been one black car after another for a number of months. Too much of a good thing can ruin it. So I made the decision to break up the streak of black Montes a bit.
I have been nothing but loyal to this site. When I became a moderator years ago, I wanted to start a calendar for the members here. And thanks to RJ's involvement, it was able to happen. And have worked like hell to make the MCF calendars, and be as accommodating as possible to everyone here. But to this day, I'm still getting complaints about stuff that happened three years ago. In January of this year, I told the staff I'm done with these calendars. The actions of a few on here have completely ruined my attitude towards something that should be a good thing. An annual forum calendar.
Admin ChibiBlackSheep Mike is taking over the MCF calendar for next year. It's a new beginning for the calendar. And I sincerely hope Mike doesn't get the same crap thrown at him that I've been getting for 3 years.
I don't want to hear it anymore. I have enough stress in my life outside of MCF.

We can make some of the member's happy some of the time, but sadly we can't make all of the member's happy all of the time > even though we try..... I think we all try to do what is best for the majority of our MC Family >Peace/Out
I'm sorry that a few member's are unhappy & I have read your
words or dissatisfactions of results.
I've yet to read any positive solutions from those not happy.
I have not seen any of our non paid Staff ever do anything
to purposely hurt a member on the MCF.
We do our best for our Monte Carlo Family and devote
a lot of our online time to make & keep our forum the best
automotive forum on the web.

Ask not What the MCF can `do for you, but ask what
you can `do to make our forum better ?
Thank You!
OK, lets all get back to having `fun on the MCF & nominating a
deserving member's Monte Carlo for MOTM

What we focus on, we empower and enlarge. Good multiplies when focused upon. Negativity multiplies when focused upon. The choice is ours: Which do we want more of?
One always flaws leaves too little time for construction.
The best way of removing negativity is to laugh and be joyous.
It is easier to avoid the effects of others' negativity when we question if an action or attitude is appropriately directed at us. If it isn't, we can choose to sidestep it and let it pass.
Today evil spirits are seen as negativity which floats around the Earth in large quantities.
Negativity can only feed on negativity.

The forum membership surges and wanes, always has always will. It is important to greet new members and acknowledge their interest and promote their contributions
from our 2012 Monte of the Year Winner

Thanks `Greg for sharing & all your contributions to the MCF
to make it positive & better.
We appreciate 4-Sure
My intent was not to sit here and complain about anything (I wasn't really happy about what happened at the time but it is what it is and we move on) but rather point out that a possible situation like that will obviously arise again at some point in the future. I was waiting for the right time to bring it up and figured, with how this thread was transpiring, now was that time. Not sure if we have rules for when a tie does happen so, if not, maybe we need to define what happens when there is a tie, I don't know. Reality is you will never make 100% of everyone happy.
Lets keep this in mind BUT focus on September.
I can say if I had to pick someone to tie with, it would be Devin.
As for the calendar, I personally think it's great.

Hi `Matt, & thanks for your words/thoughts...Yes, we have high-jacked Taz's thread.
I'm sorry that happened, but some issues arose that had to be addressed.
Yes, in contests there can be a tie, & some winner's that tied did not want to share their victory with another member, or they personally believed that their co-winner was more deserving and withdrew their win. We could have a run `off with the two winner's as an option `if there is another tie. It would consume more time & member involvement & could change the outcome & delay the celebration of MOTM.
I know that I am still honored that I won years ago & I hope that everyone can work together to resolve these issues...
Thanks for your words & all your contributions to our Monte Carlo Family...
Sincerely, `Space
