I think that limiting the number of affirmations is a good idea in theory, but the practical application of it might limit the level of "mention" each nominee gets. When we (mods) consider nominees in the case of close nods and ties, the 3 members who will stand out the most will not be on mention alone, but on the other factors of the contest, i.e. ride pride and forum contributions. When we get "sillyness" like someone seconding EVERY nomination or people who are nominating EVERYONE, we don't really count those as mentions.

It's when someone is nominated, someone else seconds, then there is a consensus amongst other members agreeing with the nomination and that creates chatter about that member, then the multiple nodsare put toward their count for the pending competition. We don't just count the number of times someone's name is mentioned.

I think if we are responsible about the nominations and affirmations, we wouldn't necessarily need to limit them.I can agree that each member only nominatingonce is a good idea.

Parliamentary procedure allows for smooth and promptdecision in nominatingand selection of a MOTM Winner in a fair and honest way.__________________________________________________ ____Example of theMOTM Contest.1. Each Member nominates one member's MonteThere are 10 Member's Monte's nominated in the contest. The three members with the most nominationsare placed into the MOTM contest.1. Wiz KidderExampleIf there are 50 members, that are voting in the contest, and they have unlimited ability to 2nd a member'snominations, then it would reflect/indicate who thefavorite nominated member would be to Win the Contest.__________________________________________________ ___Example:1. Hi Chris,You have a unique Monte Carlo, that may not appealto the majority, but it has been nominated three (3)times. I don't think any other MCF memberhas been nominated that often.I think when you `Mod out a Monte, you are makingit your own. You are making it different from the rest. Not everyone is going to like your Mod's, but the importantthing is, that you like them. Many don't like my Monte, and to me that's their opinion, but I love it, and I working to have it ,& keep it : ).Like I've posted before, "You are already a Winner, `ifyou are driving a Monte Carlo"._________________________________________This Topic Post has over 550 +hits, but only has15 members that voted ?I'm happy that it is getting some views, but was hoping that more members would participate.Peace to all,`Space
