HA!!! Incredible 7lO joke! I almost bothered to see where the link took me.

I will keep the rest of my comments to myself ... probably better that way.

So much bashing of his idea, and not one person that has even tried to answer the OP's question. He wanted to know if it would throw a code, not to know everyone's opinion of his mod.

@OP; I wish I could help and tell you if it will throw a code or not, but I'm honestly clueless. I just wanted to post this to say that it's YOUR car, do whatever you think will look good. Clearly this is a unique mod, so you've got that going for it so far

We have answered his question.

It introduces a vacuum leak into the crank case. We told him why they exist and what the purpose of the product would be.

It wouldn't throw a code, but would cause all sorts of vacuum leak problems.

We also figured he wanted it for the "bling" aspect, which is why we offered the suggestion of a chrome oil cap.

Not if he seals it successfully.

There's too much negativity in this thread, I'm not going to amplify that with arguments. Was just throwing my two cents in here. Thanks for the straight answer Chibi.

@bizparr: I thank you for a 'lil defense around these here parts! But if you (anyone) were to back to my very OP when I first came on board in the "New Member" area, I clearly stated that I could take it as well as I could/can give it, though I pick & choose my battles.

And it was something along the lines of the vacuum issue that I read elsewhere that I had the concern about, etc., ... & it appears that I would end up with an unfavorable ordeal ... So it has no longer become a bling & possibly functional vent - because I thought "7lO" caps actually had a small venting quality to them (sincerely) -, but now this has just become bling. And I have seen what it looks like by mocking it up back in the early fall, & it looks pretty "tough", maybe someone will agree when March comes ...
