6th Gen ('00-'05): Won't start

Default Won't start

02 ss turns over and starts for couple seconds if hold gas but instantly dies. Any ideas

Can you hear the fuel pump run (sounds like a hum) when you turn the key to the "on" position, before turning it all the way over to "start"?

You can hear best if you remove the gas cap and listen there while somebody else turns the key.

Yeah I can hear the fuel pump. Was parked for about a month changed map sensor ran for about ten minutes then died

Possibly the fuel pressure regulator. Check the fuel pressure which should be around 42 psi.
Could also be a sensor (MAF, Crank position, or Cam position).

Check for codes.

i agree check the fuel pressure regulator best do it cause if this part is going bad you dont want to let it leave you stranded and fail completely
