Angry Window wont roll down

i have an 84 monte and cant get driver window to roll down but the passenger side does.....i had to replace the harness (cause someone cut mine off ) and i bought a new Master switch and still only the passenger side will go down ? Tried to use a test light on the Harness/wires and when i touch the light to the driver side of the switch/harness it Sparks !!. Why does only the driver side two wires Spark...Any ideas or help would be appreciated.... Thx

Hi Tom, sorry to read about your problem. It's sure not my expertise & I hope a member can assist you with this problem.

I did a few searches and the only thing I could find that may or may not help.... Check it out & see if it applies...Good Luck & keep checking back on your thread & hopefully a member can help you & your Monte..

The ground comes from the window switch. There are 2 wires from the switch to the motor. All the switch does is change polarity to make the glass either go up or down. Check the ground at the switch or the switch itself.

Thank you......i red through that post and i think it might be a Ground issue . is the Ground suppose to run from the Master Switch to the Window Motor then to the Body ??

definitely sounds like ground issue especially since you've replaced master switch.
