I have a 2004 monte carlo ss 3.8. i parked it last night as i always do and now today when i went to start it the ignition wont turn. its locked in the off postion and the shifter is locked as well as the brake pedal. the steering wheel however is not locked. ive tried everthing from jerking the wheel while trying to turn the key to disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and it wont turn still. i would prefer not to have to spend money towing it to my dealer if this is an easily fixable problem. please help if you can. - J

 

By now you have had it fixed. But there is a pin that breaks off and jams the lock. I had it happen on my Z-71 in the driveway.

 

yeah, hopefully by now it is fixed, if not that would really suck!!
