Default Whine/Humming Noise and Bucking

I have a 2003 Monte Carlo SS with 103,000 miles. I had the car for almost 3-months now and did a quite bit of work between myself and a local mechanic (I will list work done and what I know still needs to be done below). The question I have today and couldn't find in threads is I recently (as of last week) started to hear a whine/hum noise when coasting (only happens when I'm doing 40mph or more and take my foot off the gas and coast). Also, during this same time my car started bucking (description is similar to trans slip into gear) only when I'm starting off from stop to go (I think this is 1st to 2nd gear) it doesn't happen all the time and I found if I give it more gas it sometimes won't happen. I do not have any warning/check engine lights on, are these two separate problems or one in the same? And what should I do to resolve?

Parts Replaced (the two things I know that still need to be complete are PS pump and hose and Oil pan gasket)

· Front Brakes and Rotors
· Radiator
· Tie Rod Ends and Links
· Valve cover gaskets
· Serpentine Belt
· Upper and Lower intake manifold gaskets (includes thermostat)
· Wipers
· Cabin Filter
· Motor Mount (top passenger side aluminum block that mount attaches to)
· Driver Window Motor
· Sealed windshield cowl and inside the rubber that surrounds the windshield with black silicone (had water on driver side floor every time it rained, also cleared the sunroof drain hoses as well)

It turns out what I described in my previous post is the transmission which I read is a common problem. It's at the trans shop now getting rebuilt using sonnax upgrade (also getting the oil pan replaced as well). My question is has anyone used sonnax for their updates and how does your 4t65e perform today?

The sunroof drain hoses (this may not be the proper name) are located in the front top corners above the door and runs down and exits through the door just below the hinges. These can sometimes get clogged and cause water to back up. I had poor drainage on the driver side, but it wasn't the root cause of my leak. To get to the hoses the front and front side headliner will need to be unscrewed along with the corner side panels removed. The hoses come right off with a little tugging. The hose can be cleared using air from compressor ( I used a cleaning solution similar to pine sol and mix with water, which the flow for me). When I placed the hoses back I zip-tied them so they wouldn't come undone. I assume you have a leak, if it was these hoses you may or should see leaking or water on your headliner.
