where is the LOW side?

Default where is the LOW side?

Hi Kids, I need a shot of freon for the A/C where do u put it in? Where is the low side and how much do u put in ? I dont need much. the air comming out is right at 55` but i want it just a tad bit colder.

Typically ac is good for 40 degrees lower than ambient temp. I wouldn't go putting Freon in if you don't need it. You can do a good amount of damage.

With that said, it's the port on the rear of the engine.

How hot is it outside? How long was the AC running? Driving or idle?

yesterday in St Louis it was 107` a/c was on for about 1 hr 10 min @ 55` and i was driving the car on I 64 going to Scott AFB.

thanks space. the temp in st louis yesterday was 107` and the air is @ 55` or so. and the car is running down the hwy at 70 mph. do i need to do this? chibi sez a 40`diffrence is ok. i would like to get about 6` cooler.

If the ambient temp was 107° then your A/C is working perfectly fine putting out air at 55°. About the only thing you can do is make sure you have it set for recirculated air and not outside air.

Yep, your AC is working fine. I can't drop mine below high speed when it is over 100*.

Yup working fine thats what mine has been running at & i just recharged it a week ago
