Default what would you do

I am having some trouble with my 95' Monte. The rear bumper has quite a substansial amount of rust on it. I was looking online and found www.rust911.com has anyone ever used this stuff and do you think it would be safe to use? I found a couple other products like evap rust but the rust911 seems like the more economical purchase. Thank you for your input.

Like tps said the bumper is plastic so the rust has to be from something else. It could be coming from the trunk lid.

Chrome polish and rust remover works great for removing rust fallout.

Wrong. The bumper is indeed metal. The bumper cover, however, is rubber.

Sounds like an impact bar or inside the trunk is rusting.

If it's truly rust, clean the debris off (a wire wheel works well) and I've been happy with POR15.

I'm pretty sure all 5th gen bumpers are plastic...anyway idk the name of the product but napa sells a product that kills rust turns it black makes it fall off and then you cand o what youd like to fix it. I'm going to get some for the rust on the inside of my truck doors then sand it down and put some roll on bedliner on it.

The part you guys keep calling the bumper is not the bumper. The peice you see is the BUMPER COVER. The bumper in the metal reinforcement underneath.

Bumper cover=rubber

bumper=metal

can be seen under the foam
