You can try to find a set of used headers. Cat-back, I believe they made rockers for the LS4. You can get a diablew tune.

For transmission work read: tripleedgeperformance.com

headers run about 500 used. you could also do springs and rockers. ls1/ls6 intake swap. probably more that i dont know much about too.

Are the Thorley headers the only company that manufactures headers for the Monte 5.3L LS4 V8? Just asking because they're the only headers I've seen available for it, and they are a bit expensive new.

They are the only ones that I know of. If you were quicker you could have gotten in on the group buy first production run of the headers

Well, until I actually knew about those headers I didn't think we even had an option. Glad I know that now, but sucks that they're so effing expensive. Would've been nice to get in on that group buy, like Chibi pointed out. Although, now that I checked, the headers available for the 3800 II aren't that cheap either.

Also, MagnaFlow makes a nice cat-back performance exhaust system. MSD Ignition makes a set of ignition coils for the 5.3L V8.

You can get headers for the 3800 for $200. They are knock-offs of the originals.

Since these are so new, and not in high desire nobody is making the knockoffs. And DT had to do all the machine time and R&D time. So they have the market to keep it expensive. That's why I was saying used might be the best bet.

i was never a turbo fan either, until i got second thought on it. i think the ls4 heads are the same as the ls6 (243) heads just different valves and springs. turbo hands down. no matter what mods you plan to do later it all adds up and in the end you going to wish you would of done a turbo setup instead.
