I've got a weak drivers side low beam (new bulb)on ny 1985 Monte. A friend suggested it may be a relay. I have little knowledge of things electrical. Does a relay sound plausable? Where would I find the headlight relay?

 

how old are the bulbs. sounds to me like one is reaching the end of its life. try to switch the bulbs and see if the problem persists.

 

I agree with mak330, switch the bulbs from one side to the other. Also check the connection for corrosion.

 

I've actually got new bulbs on both sides. I'll swap them when I can get out to the garage and give that a try. Maybe it's a bad bulb.
