Default Water Leak (Wet Rear Headliner) & Fuel Gauge Issue

I recently picked up an 01 SS (Hence my name), and
soon after I noticed the headliner above the rear seats
was damp/wet, & I already knew about the Gas Gauge
problem. I've been told it may also be the Gauge Cluster.

I'd really rather only Replace 1, n not both parts.

Without dropping my headliner down how can I
find & stop the water leak? (A Non SunRoof Car).

Thanx,
Rob

My guess would be the seal around the back windshield.

The fuel gauge? Is it not showing how much gas you have? Could be the cluster or the fuel level sensor if so.

I have read before where someone said that water was soaking their headliner from the roof. The little strips that run from front to back on the roof of your car, right above the doors about 6 inches in. They felt the sealant or adhesive was failing, water was getting under them and leaking into their car. Don't know if that is possible as I have never had mine off. But they said that was the source of their leak.
