Ok my airbag light came on the other day and i took it to a shop to have it fixed the guy scanned it and told me that the module was bad when they went to replace it they found out that it shorted out because the rain water is leaking into the passenger side of my car they said they found the leak to be the weatherstripping around the cabin air filter was bad. It rained last night so this morning i went out and checked and my floor is wet any other ideas as to where it could be coming in.

 

i replaced an airfiler on a car or mine for the freshair there by the windshiled...and i broke a little piece off and come to find out that piece let a bunch of water get into the car....

 

Easy way to find out is hit it with a garden hose and wait till water starts coming in. Then just trace it.

 

ok found out where its coming in it pools in the cornor of the filter and then after geting over saturated it drips into the car
so my fix was to drill a small hole there to let the water out tested it with a bucket no watter comes in

Did the garden hose help out or did you use another idea to help find the water leak?

 

It can get water there for 2different ways too. Does your monte have a sunroof? If it does have the drains checked.. They can get clogged from dirt and leaves. Or the cowl that sits on windshield after time the clips break so seal fails letting water in.
