Blower problems
I have a 86 Monte Carlo and my heater only blows on 2 and 3 on the switch on all settings. What could be my problem? Have done replaced switch in the dash and blower motor resistor still does the same thing any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

If you got them used... You may have gotten another set of faulty ones...??
Or quite possibly, Its the blower motor itself!

If the blower isn't operating in high position there is an open in the circuit. Pull the connector from the blower motor and probe the power wire (purple) with a voltage meter or continuity tester. With key on and switch in high position you should see approx. 12v at the connector. If not, check for ground continuity on the black wire in the connector. If both wires check out good but the blower doesn't operate then the blower relay is defective.

Mike:
is the blower relay separate from the blower motor? Or is it built into the blower motor?
