Hi I'm looking in to a tranny swap/ upgrade and need to know if the 4T65-E or the 4t65eHD will fit the 3.8l that's in my car

They will both fit but if you originally had a non he version and go to a he version (or vise versa) the gearing will be different and the torque converter will be different along with a different length passenger side axle. The axpe and flex plate change is easy to run the other trans but the gearing difference needs adjusted in the tune so you would need tuning software or ay someone with the software to make the change for ya.

If you want a upgraded trans just look into and buy one from triple edge performance
