6th Gen ('00-'05): Turn signals strange behavior
#11
Unfortunately I have not resolved this problem yet.
I removed all additional wires("improvements") made in UK with no effect.
Also cleared main ground to bare metal.
Can anyone point me to other ground connections points?
Thanks,
Ivo

Hi Ivo.
Sorry to hear your problems persist.
I have an idea. In order to isolate the problem circuit, try this:
1. Remove both headlight bulbs, then try the turns signals. If the turn signals work normally the problem is in the headlight circuit. Reinstall one bulb or the other to determine which side has the problem.
2. If that doesn't work, remove all the turn signal, back up and brake light bulbs.
Then test the headlights to see if they work normally.
If they do, reinstall each bulb one at a time and test the turn signals, brake lights and back up lights after each re-installation. Do this even if the bulbs for that system are still removed. If the problem happens when you test a system where the bulb is removed, the problem might be in a switch. If everything works up to the point where you installed the last bulb you will know it is that circuit.
If none of this works, you know the problem is with a common circuit shared by both systems.
Hope that helps.
Good luck!
