A year ago I changed the transmission to a used tyranny with 140k miles on it. Was experiencing shifting issues into 3rd. A few months later it slipped out of gear and didn't reengage. Turned car off and back on and shifted normal. The next day I started the car and wouldn't go in on reverse unless I turned ignition off again and restarted. Drove a few blocks and slipped out of gear going into 2nd. No gear again unless I turned car off and restarted. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Could it be a sensor or needing rebuild??

 

TCC solenoid issue? Can you do any work or will you be having a mechanic look at it?

 

I have no clue on transmissions so I'll have to have a mechanic look at it.
