Transmission issue
First post ever
I have a 96 3.1 Monte Carlo with transmission issue. It first started that reverse moved to between R and N, ok just thought needed an adjustment. Then it started to have issue finding D, ok got to get that adjustment done.
Now the car does not find any gear. Although it feels like it does. As you move through the gears the car will sit down like it finds a gear but will not go anywhere when you push on the throttle. When I think that the car is in neutral the car will not roll at all. So, it seems as if I can not find any gear and at the same time it wont go out of gear (if that makes sense).
I have checked fluid and it still very nice, no burn, no metal. Looked at the linages in floor shifter all "looks" good. Checked as many vacuum lines that I could, checked relays/fusses.
Up until this issues that car always shifted well, no slipping..etc.
Any ideas
