I have a 2002 SS with around 224,000 on it. I'm going to try the transgo shift kit to see if it will take care of the p1811 code. Seems a lot of people having pretty good success with it. Anyway, the car is not going into overdrive. At 45 mph I can feel the car shift as if it wants to go in overdrive but never does. I heard the 4th gears were bad about shearing the splines off but all the last transmission fluid change there was just a very very very fine metal on the magnet. No large pieces at all. Does the p1811 code also affect the overdrive?

You just might have more issues than shift length
