tranny slip

Default tranny slip

I was sitting at a light and when it turned green I went to go and it felt like I was in neutral and then stuck it in gear and then I went,like a 2 sec delay..i have to change fluid and filter,car has 89k on it...think its just fluid?

it could be that u might get away with just changing the fluid but beware these transmissions are a weakpoint so it might also be time for a rebuild just hope for the best, im in the middle of getting mines rebuild as we speak

My '03 started doing the same thing at 100k miles and a fluid and filter change took care of the problem. DO NOT do a flush. Just a fluid and filter change. And I recommend using the Castrol "high mileage" fluid.

deff dont do a flush change the fluid and filter you can alway use royal purple its expensive but it seems to work good in i very high mile truck that i had

refer to your owners manual. If it calls for Dexron III and you use Dexron VI, you're not doing it any good at all.
