Default 'Trac off' and 'Brake' light on

Ok, I was driving the other day andboth the'Trac Off' and 'Brake' lights came on. I then got to class and parked for about a hour or 2. When I got out of class and was driving back, the light was still on, then after about 2 minutes of driving it went off. Now, the light will be on sometimes when I'm driving, and then it will go off, but eventually it turns back on, and so on. Anyone know what it could be? I think it could possibly be a hub sensor or something??

Sounds like a short in the hub's coil, or it might be a short int he connector or wiring.

It is a 2000 SS. I changed the drivers side wheel hub about 4 months ago. I think it may be the passenger side this time. When I make left turns, I can feel a slight rubbing, its kind of the same feel as before I changed the drivers side, but that time, the rub was when I made rigfht hand turns.

Note to administrators: Should we have an area on our profile where we can put our car description?

Usually, you'll be able to hear the sound at about 55mph... if your driving and steer left and hear the whirring, you are correct in assuming that your pass. side is bad... To really be sure, you can do a couple of other tests:

With the car jacked up, shake the wheel back forth and feel for play. Also, the bad bearing will sometimes be hotter than the other side after a long drive.
