Hey eveeyone I have an 02 ss n I was told I either have a stuck open or closed thermostat. So does anyone know if "stant" is a good brand n also would a faulty thermostat cause my tranny to do weird things like jump when going into gears until the car warms up?

 

A clogged cat could do that.

The thermostat would take a while for the car to warm up (if stuck open) and wouldn't cool the car off (if suck closed)
