Temperature issue

You have to open the thermostat while the engine is running to let the air out.

I just put upper and lower intake gaskets on mine....
I had to bleed it with the engine off...

But I did run it til the T state opened...
Then shut it off to bleed it...

Otherwise It kept letting more air back in my cooling system...

No, you're wrong. When the t-stat is open, coolant is flowing from the engine to the radiator. You open the bleeder and the engine pushed the air out.


Pretty sure I know. After all I am a GM dealer tech.

Can someone tell me how to close this out? It ended up being the head gasket.
