Default Sway bar links

I am doing some things to my suspension and ordered some new Moog sway bar links MOOG Part # K6662. I just got them today and noticed some tears in the (Boot?) of the links (One tear on each one I ordered). Does anyone think this is going to be a problem or am I being picky. Click on the pics below to enlarge them.

they aren't a sealed boot system anyway but defective parts are defective parts. it may rip more and let water in easier. those are good links but you need to grease them about once a month or more to make em last. i had to change mine when i got the car but decided to go with sealed ones from TRW, and they were half the cost. moog makes some of the best chassis parts but those are a little lacking.

Looks like Rockauto will be getting an E-mail or call from me then. I have been ordering lots of parts from them but looks like these will have to go back. So you think sealed is better than the grease-able kind?

the greasable kind are more maintenance intense and make a mess if the grease spews out. the sealed type are 0% maintenance but will wear out every 50-100,000 kms but they are lifetime warranty as well on the part just like moog when you keep the original receipt.

if it was me i perfer the greaceable type because when i do the oil and check every thing under the car. i like to make sure there will be greace or lube where there is moving parts if it is sealed. is like pushing luck on if there is going to be greace still there.
