Default Supercharger Maintenance

Hi everyone. I have a 2005 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged

I am wondering about the maintenance on it. Like how do you replace the oil, add oil to it, and what type to use?

Hi Buddha.

I just replaced the oil in my '04 intimidator supercharger and it's not as hard as it might appear.

You'll need a set of allen keys that fit in the plug on the supercharger. You'll find the plug near on the s.c. tothe leftof the cover that is over the supercharger. It's black. I found it easy to remove the cover first but you don't have to. I'll assume you know how to do this.
Next, I found an old bottle of window cleaner and took the nozzle and plastic line from the bottle. I then put the line into the supercharger hole and started squirting the oil into a plastic container. Now, you might have heard that this oil stinks. It does a little but it won't make you sick. Mine was a shade of brown when it came out. Just aim the line inside the supercharger in all directions that you can for as long as you are sucking out oil. Do this until you aren't pulling any oil anymore.
To refill, get a funnel with a small neck that will fit inside the hole where the plug goes. I used a small rubber fuel line to help guide the oil. The supercharger oil can be bought at any chevy dealership. Here in Ontario, Canada, it cost me about $5 per bottle. Get two of them. You won't use both but you will need more than 1. Your mileage may vary.
The oil in the bottle will be clear (which led me to believe my old oil was getting a bit old). Just pour it in until it reaches the lip of the hole where the plug would be. Screw the plug back in, put the plastic cover back on and you're done.
Very easy.

I wouldn't worry about the discoloration too much. I read somewhere that it is just a change in the properties of the oil from the heat.

My Dale Jr had about 90,000 miles on it before I changed it. I doubt the first owner ever had it changed. My oil was dark but not black.
