Default steering wheel radio buttons

Hi Kids, anybody know how to remove the radio controls in the steering wheel w/o blowing the air bag? And where can i get some and not get Ganked by Chevrolet. the ones in the boneyard around here are worse than the ones i got.

I normally just pry them out with my hands. Just start on the outside edge and pull around. They almost pivot towards the center.

I replaced mine on sally Got em from Enzo they were a pian to get on but finslly did

So enzo 354 what ur telling me, i can just pry these little devils out of the wheel w/o breaking them? Is there some kind of wire in there or a led for illumination?

Zjerry has a set for sale and he can probably give some good tips on changing them. I think he has done a few of them

Turn steering wheel until one of 3 holes located on back side of steering wheel is straight above steering column. Insert a small, flat bladed screwdriver into hole and twist to remove spring loaded fastener. Repeat procedure for remaining spring loaded fasteners. Pull driver-side air bag module away from steering wheel.

No wonder mine where so hard to get in. I didn't remove the air bag module Argh....
