Starting Problems with 2003 Monte Carlo
I have a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo 3.4, and recently I've been having problems with starting my car..At times, I crank it up & it starts perfectly. Then other times i go to start it & nothing...no clicking or cranking, but all the lights, radio etc. turn on...I just replaced the battery last month. Whenever my car is working right, there is no hesitation at all with starting...Thanx in advance for any info

You could check for loose connections/corrosion at the battery. Cranking a car takes a lot more amps then the lights or radio. Also see if you have power to the solenoid when trying to start it. If so I would probably replace both. You can even jump the connections to see if it cranks but be carful.

Im having the same problem with my 99 MC-3.1L. Every since I bought this car I've had starting problems. At first I had problems with the VAT System. Security Light Flashing, Turning the key getting nothing(Dashboard lights up). After spending $$$.$$, I finally had the VAT System disconnected/By-passing the system. This worked for awhile. I replaced new starter. Alt, and Battery too. 3 weeks ago I replace the Neutral Safety Switch. I continue having problems starting, sometimes I turn key and get nothing.(dashboard lights up) wait a few mins. and she starts right up no problem. I dont know what to do now...I had all connections look at....?HELP
