Exclamation Fuel starving Monte Carlo starting problems

Hello all

I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS 3.8 V6 and I'm having problems starting and keeping my car running.
About two weeks ago my check engine light came on and I took it to autozone to have it scanned and it read that the problem was the mass air flow sensor.
Easy enough found one on eBay and replaced it and restarted the computer to get rid of the check engine light . I am very OCD about those things.
So hey no problem there but here we go again the next day I drive it for about 6 minutes and then tried to start it upto leave and it revs up like crazy and stalls out leaving me sit there. So I replace the throttle position sensor. Worked great for 20 minutes and now it's doing the same thing again almost like it is starving for gas . I can get it to actually turn over and stay running as long as I feather the gas then It will idle fine but if not it stAlls out yet again . I'm not sure what to do I need help any would be great thanks so much for reading.

Revving up = vacuum leak or failing Throttle Position sensor, maybe even a sticking IAC or throttle cable.

you could try cleaning your throttle body. take a rag, spray it generously with brake clean, and wipe the inside of the throttle body clean with it. if that doesnt work suspect IAC motor, but you need to have a scanner available to see what it is doing. my personal advice- never buy anything that has a plug in from a junkyard... just saying.

Alright so new update about the monte I have changed the TPS , the MAF, and the IAC . Now today I just replaced the coolant temperature sensor thinking maybe that would do the trick but of course lol still doing it . It's not as bad and it only does the rev and stall when the car is warm after it sits for a while it starts like a dream . Not sure what to do from here

I'm hoping that it's not the fuel pump

Fuel pump wouldn't make the throttle jump like that. Make sure you check all your vacuum lines, or you may have a gasket leaking, allowing air in/out. A vacuum gauge would be useful for this... It could also be an issue with the cam sensor.

Since your MAF was just an ebay one, next time it's warm and stalling, unplug the MAF sensor and try to start it up again.

Warm Start problems are usually a MAF problem.
