I made a 2002 Monte SS into a RWD car and trying to use the factory speedometer. The new speedometer gear is a electric conversion for electric dashboards. The factory wires to the Vehicle speed sensor 1 purple (high signal) and 1 yellow (low signal) neither being a power. They go into the PCM and come out 1 wire to dashboard . The new sensor has 3 wires 1 power, 1 ground and 1 signal. Would I just bypass the PCM and wire direct to speedometer ? I am not using computer and am trying to make the stock dash work.
