2001 Monte Carlo LS
Driver's door speaker has static even with ignition off. Where should I begin?
My first thought was to remove the door panel and check for corrosion and ground issues. Anyone already had and fixed this problem?

Have you wired anything new into the car or has anything changed electrically? I know sometimes if you add something with a lot of draw to the same circuit you'll get a lot of static. For example, on some older cars if you add something to the cigarette outlet that drew a lot of current you would get static through the speakers. I haven't looked through the wiring diagram to be able to say if that for sure would be the culprit, but i would say start with what may have changed, before taking things apart.
