Sounds like a hub, but I just checked...
I've got a noise coming from the rear of my Monte and I swear it sounds just like a wheel hub.
I've also got a traction control issue that comes and goes.
Along with, what sounds like, brake noise.
I know these two are related and are usually a hub, but...
I just pulled both rear wheels and checked the hub, brakes, E-brake, sensor connection and rotor and everything looks surprisingly good.
The front passenger hub was replaced about 4 years ago, (35k miles or so).
I'm about to go pull the drivers side front wheel off and check it, but in the last few months I've had that checked twice.
First time i took it to the shop and they said it was my CV joints.
So, I had those replaced by a guy and he also said the hubs were fine.
Ideas?

Hubs can be deceiving. The traction control message is usually a sure indicator or a bad wheel speed sensor within the hub or the harness to it. Need to do a resistance test to confirm that. Visual inspection of the hub is not always helpful. They usually last 100-130K. Might be worth replacing anyway if your car is near that mileage.
Here's a tutorial video:
The noise could also be brakes. Check the hardware for broken or bent pieces.
