A number of times I have noticed that when I give my car gas, I hear the sound of water flowing,, sounds like coming from the dash. Does anyone else notice this sound? Is it water flow from the engine that I am hearing? Is this common to other Monte Carlo owners? My car is 2007 V6.

 

do you have a moon roof? did you recently do a coolent flush? way it sounds is that you have a coolent leak or not enough coolent hence a water fall leaking sound

 

when the coolent goes threw the heater core you wil hear water fall sound do to air pocket

 

does this mean I have a problem with my heater core? ,, yes I have a moon roof. Does this sound like a problem?

 

drain toob for your sun roof is cloged and need to be drained and no it does not mean you need a heater core because your floor boards will be soaked with antifreeze

 

oh wow, is this an easy fix? is it something you have done before?

 

its a ok fix there are posts on here about sunroofs i hope youll get it fixed because it will over flow into your intereor. i am going to try to find the posting for the sunroof

 

look on the right side of your car and look for a small tube and see if you can use a peace of wire to clean the bottom out. before you do any thing can i ask if you still have a warrenty on your monty? if so the dealer should fix it quick fast and in a hurry as well if you dont have the time to wait take a look for that tube on the bottom right side passenger bottom

 

I still have 300 miles left on my warranty. I will take it by there tomorrow. I am wondering,, how does this relate to the sound of wash flowing when I accelerate?

 

The sound you hear doesnt have anything to do with your moonroof. You need to bleed the air from your coolant system. When you accelerate, your coolant flows more and if there is too much air in the system, you will hear the coolant slosh around when it runs through under your dash.
