Service Manual

Service Manual
This is sort of a tech question but is definitely car related. I'm interested in this service manual that I will link from Ebay, and I'm curious from those who maybe own this and can relate it to Hayne's Repair Manual, for a 2002 Monte Carlo. I've never seen one sold before online, at least till now I just looked and I didn't see any others listed. I'm wondering if this would be worth picking up and what should I offer, than the listed price. I plan on getting into a rebuild in the near future, and the Hayne's Manual doesn't seem like the best idea for a nonprofessional in mechanics like myself. I look forward to your reply.

The ones shown in your link are by Helm. Don't bother with Haynes or Chilton. Helm is the way to go if you're looking for good service manuals. They're published directly by GM and used by the dealerships when servicing vehicles. Helm service manuals are invaluable; definitely worth the investment.

No problem, and they look to be in pretty good condition so I think what is being asked is fair, although maybe a bit on the high side. Just to compare, I had a set of these same Helm service manuals for the 03 Monte Carlo Impala that I sold a couple years ago; closer to $100 though. These aren't the easiest things to come across used so it might be a good call to ****** them when you can.

The link you sent is the best/most inclusive service manual. As I understand the GM dealerships use those same publications. Covers way more about the car then you will hopefully ever need to know.
